Zygo’s laser interferometers measure optical surfaces, transmitted wavefront quality, and surface form with sub-nanometre precision using the principle of optical interference. All systems are non-contact, full-aperture, and capture complete surface data in a single acquisition, making them the reference standard for optical component qualification from prototype through production.
Qualifire 1.2 & 1.2+ The Adaptable Interferometer
The Qualifire family represents the latest generation of Zygo Fizeau laser interferometers, combining decades of Zygo interferometry heritage with new levels of precision, portability, and ease of use. Available in two current models:
Qualifire™ 1.2 Compact, High-Performance Fizeau Interferometer
The Qualifire 1.2 is Zygo’s latest compact Fizeau interferometer, delivering reliable and repeatable full-aperture wavefront measurement of flat and spherical optical components. Designed with enhanced usability and Zygo’s proven interferometry core, it is well-suited to both laboratory and demanding industrial workflows where consistent performance is essential.
Qualifire™ 1.2+ The Most Adaptable Interferometer Zygo Has Built
The Qualifire 1.2+ builds on the Qualifire 1.2 with additional technical advancements and usability improvements, offering top-end flexibility for the most demanding metrology applications. Weighing under 23kg, it features a sealed optical leg, integrated Phase Measuring Receptacle (PMR), easy-grasp ergonomics, and compatibility with Zygo Smart Accessories, making it equally suited for a fixed metrology lab and environments where the instrument must travel to the test part.
Smart Accessories enable the SmartSetup™ feature, automatically setting lateral resolution and system error correction based on the accessory installed, reducing setup time and ensuring best-in-class measurement accuracy from the moment the instrument is switched on.
The Qualifire 1.2+ is Zygo’s most adaptable and portable Fizeau interferometer. Weighing under 23kg, it combines full-aperture wavefront measurement capability with a sealed optical leg, integrated Phase Measuring Receptacle (PMR), and easy-grasp ergonomics, making it equally suited for a fixed metrology laboratory and environments where the instrument needs to travel to the test part.
The Qualifire 1.2+ is the tool of choice for optical flats, lenses, prisms, and windows, delivering complete wavefront data in a single acquisition.
